Our Pre-K Program serves 3 and 4-year-old children at South Side Lower Elementary (SSL) on 400 S Beech St, Picayune, MS. Children must be five years old on or before September 1 to enroll in Kindergarten. Our Teacher Assistants have a minimum Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Further, all of our Teachers have a minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Education and are certified to teach Pre-K through Early Elementary in the State of Mississippi.

While exploring each center the child learns meaning and understanding through full participation in their learning environment. Each center in the classroom is based on all developmental components as mentioned above. Alternatively, a Pre-Kindergarten classroom is for children who are 4-5 years old and will be attending Kindergarten the following school year.
